The clip fades out with Campanella simply repeating the word “interesting” over and over, presumably realising his whole (flat) Earth is falling down around him. Flat Earther Bob Knodel spent a tidy $20,000 on a laser gyroscope to try and prove the Earth is flat. When Jeran Campanella tries to prove the logic behind the hole experiment, his willing assistant is forced to hold their light up in the air, therefore proving the Earth is (are you ready for it?)…round! Netflix Safe to say, things don’t work out quite how the Flat Earthers had imagined. If the Earth is flat, you should be able to see the light through each of the holes. One scene involves Flat Earthers lining up a series of holes over a long distance and shining a light through them. Netflix’s Behind The Curve is our latest out-there documentary, mainly because the Flat Earthers have managed to disprove their own theories. It sounds crazy enough as it is, but the Flat Earthers then set about trying to prove their crazy tinfoil theories. These so-called Flat Earthers are a “small but growing contingent of people who firmly believe in a conspiracy to suppress the truth that the Earth is flat”. It’s only been 2,700 years since Aristotle proved the Earth was round, but now there’s a weird trend where people have started thinking it’s flat again.
